Singer/songwriter Alex Stengl is the soul of Rani’s Fire, a Sydney based acoustic duo. Alex has been writing songs for over 15 years and with her constant drive to improve her technical ability in combination with her life experience, Alex has become a great musician & performer both on stage and in the studio. Alex has explored her musical interests thoroughly from writing songs and lyrics and performing her own and other’s songs through to managing and supporting other musical acts (and has Certificate III in Music Management).

Alex's songs, music and lyrics are the focus of the Rani's Fire duo’s musical journeys. Within them, Rani’s Fire explores a broad spectrum of emotions ranging from sorrow and loss through to light and redemption, complimented & enahnced by Alex's extraordinary vocal range.

If Alex is the soul of Rani’s Fire then Patrick Nellestein is the inspiration and motivation. Patrick is a singer/songwriter/performer and producer; a graduate of Music Composition and Production at the Australian Institute of Music. Patrick’s resume includes composition of numerous film & documentarty scores and extends all the way to production of music for local artists. More importantly, Patrick is a teacher and mentor to Alex. The fusion of Patrick and Alex’s work has culminated in what is now Rani’s Fire. The band embraces simplicity and draws from personal experience to infuse their music with elements of country, blues and folk. With interests in all areas of music Rani’s Fire has various influences and is constantly evolving.
